While we thoroughly loved the star power on television this fall (Kerry Washington in Scandal, Sanaa Lathan in Boss), just wait till you get a load of the amazing shows coming up in 2013. We can think of at least 10 reasons we’ll be glued to our tellies come January.
For starters, Kevin Hart stars in the semi-scripted reality show spoof The Real Husbands of Hollywood (BET) along with Nick Cannon, Boris Kodjoe and Robin Thicke. Gabrielle Union plays a successful Black woman navigating love, family and work on BET’s Being Mary Jane. Jennifer Hudson and Sheryl Lee Ralph play mother and daughter on Smash (NBC), Meagan Good and Laz Alonso star in Deception (NBC) about an FBI agent (Good) trying to uncover the truth behind her childhood friend’s death, and Naomi Campbell coaches young models on Oxygen’s newest reality show, The Face. Pick up the January issue of ESSENCE to see more of TV’s African-American leading ladies in 2013.
So tell us, which shows you will be tuning in to this coming January?
