She has released a statement stating that she will release a new album titled “The Dreamer” on October 25th. It will be her final studio album.
It will be James’ first album release in five years and a monumental end to her spectacular 50-year recording career.

“I wish to thank all my fans who have shown me love and support over all these years,” says James. “I love you all.”
Throughout her career James has received six Grammy Awards and she has been inducted into the elite Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Rhythm and Blues Hall of Fame and Rockabilly Hall of Fame.
On “The Dreamer” her fans will be treated to James’ renditions of Otis Redding’s “Cigarette and Coffee”, Bobby “Blue” Bland’s “Dreamer” and Ray Charles’ “In The Evening.
