Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s star Robbie Montgomery (far left) is all sass and fire. The 71-year-old former singer (she sang backup for Ike and Tina Turner) turned restaurateur is back for season two of her hit reality show and she’s already got some choice words for son Tim and his fiancé Jenae, who recently moved in with her.
“They are in for a rude awakening,” she tells ESSENCE.com. “They think I’m so old so I need to live with somebody. You know how kids do when they think their parents are old. They want to tell me what to do and where to go.”
Miss Robbie knows one thing for sure – she’s not babysitting Tim and Jenae’s son TJ. “I think Tim thinks he’s going to have a built in babysitter. But that will never happen in this life,” she quips. Now that TJ is doing well after being born prematurely last year, the real question, adds the reality star, is when she should start planning Tim and Jenae’s wedding.
“Jenae is trying on wedding dresses and she’s looking at different venues,'” she says. “If she listens to me, she won’t. Tim and I don’t get along, but Jenae and I get along. She should marry me instead of Tim.”
We’ll be tuning in to the season two premiere of Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s this Saturday at 9 p.m. for more of Miss Robbie’s family drama.
