Black Music Month: Father’s Day Playlist
“It’s A Family Affair” by Sly and the Family Stone
In light of Father’s Day we have pulled together our favorite Father’s Day songs. Just as our Dads want the best for us, we want the best for them! While my father worked hard to ensure that I received the best of everything, it hurt my heart last year to know that I couldn’t afford a remarkable gift.At that point, I decided to get creative.I gathered a list of songs that expressed my love, gratitude and feelings for everything my Dad did for me. It turned out to be the best gift ever because he told me that the CD nearly brought him to tears. This simple, cute and inexpensive gift was the best idea and proved that no matter how old I turn, I will always be Daddy’s Little Girl.
