The 2018 Winter Olympics finally allowed figure skaters to perform to music featuring song lyrics and who better to perform to than Queen Bey?
French figure skater Maé-Bérénice Méité shut down the ice rink by performing to a melody of Beyoncé classics “Run the World (Girls)” and “Halo.” Decked out in a gold-sequined and black jumpsuit, Méité danced, jumped, twirled and skated into our hearts in one of the earliest #BlackGirlMagic moments at the PyeongChang Games.
While the four time national champion had some trouble landing the triple lutz and other difficult jumps, she still put her heart into her routine. Her scores put her in third place.
After her performance Méité explained to Cosmopolitan.com why she chose Beyoncé, saying: “”[Her music] is crazy, wild, and fun. You can just dance to it, and that’s how I am.”
Thank you again guys for the love and support guys, it means the world to me you have no idea 😍❤❤
