Frank Ocean has been hit with a lawsuit from Chipotle Mexican Grill after accepting $212K for an ad campaign he later refused to do.
According to the suit filed against the singer in LA County, Frank signed a $425,000 deal with Chipotle to sing a remake of “Pure Imagination” for a new animated ad.
Frank backed out of the agreement after Chipotle refused the singer’s request for them to remove their logo from the end of the ad. Ocean’s team sent the restaurant an email stating Frank was promised final say over the recording and all promotional materials and accused the company of being in breach of contract by refusing to remove the logo.
Chipotle is now suing to get back the $212,500 advance it paid Ocean.
