It’s a big day in the television industry! First, we got wind that HBO gave the greenlight to Issa Rae’s series, and now, FX just announced that it had picked up Donald Glover’s comedy, Atlanta.
Hot New Hip-Hop reports that the network has okayed the show nearly one year after the rapper-actor-comedian pitched the idea.

Slated to air in 2016, the show will center around two cousins searching for their big break in the Atlanta rap game. Starring Boardwalk Empire‘s Alfred Miles, Lakeith Lee Stanfield (Dope) and Zezie Beetz (Applesauce), the show is sure to be a must-see.
