If you loved watching Gabby Douglas rise to superstardom following her Olympic victories, you’ll be happy to hear that a movie based on her life is coming soon to a TV near you.
According to reports, The Gabby Douglas Story will start shooting in September in Winnipeg, Canada. The film will tell the inspiring story of Douglas who began gymnastics training at the wee age of six and won a state championship by the time she was 8 years old. In 2010, Douglas’s family sent her to live in Iowa where she trained round-the-clock in preparation for the 2012 Olympics.
There’s no word yet on who will play the talented gymnast in the film or what TV network will air the movie.
This year, Douglas shared her life story in the memoir, Raising the Bar, a continuation of her first autobiography, Grace, Gold & Glory: My Leap of Faith.
