During an appearance on Dr. Oz, the Being Mary Jane actress, who has tried IVF and natural pregnancy, revealed her infertility issues. “For three years, my body has been a prisoner of trying to get pregnant,” she explained. Pieces from FX’s new hit series Pose will be collected to be archived in the National Museum of African American History and Culture. The Smithsonian staple is curating objects “related to LGBTQ+ history and experiences.” One of the show’s directors, Janet Mock, announced the news just a day before the series was picked up for a second season. Serena Williams is heading to the Grand Slam singles finals for the 30th time in her career. After beating Julia Goerges in the 2018 Wimbledon semi-finals, the tennis champion will go head-to-head with Angelique Kerber. If she wins, it’ll be her 24th Grand Slam title. Meagan Good will embark on her directorial debut with indie film, If Not Now, When. Written by Tamara Bass, the feature will include Bass, Good, Mekia Cox (Once Upon a Time) and Meagan Holder (Pitch). The plot centers on four friends from high school who are forced to reconnect following a crisis. Filming is slated to begin this month. (Deadline)

Black Panther star Danai Gurira is in talks to star in Godzilla Vs. Kong and Star Trek. For the former film, directed by Adam Wingard, Gurira will join Millie Bobby Brown and Julian Dennison on the cast. It is set to release in May 2020.
