Shellie was taken into custody earlier today and later released on $1,000 bond.
She, along with her husband, are accused of deceiving the court of their financial status. At the time of George’s initial April hearing, he informed the court he was broke. However, he failed to mention he collected nearly $200K in additional funds from a website he started. He also didn’t mention a second passport, which he was ordered to surrender as part of his bond condition.
In between his first hearing and June 1, the day a Florida judge revoked his bond and ordered him back to Seminole County jail, George and his wife moved tens of thousand of dollars from his account to hers in an effort to keep it a secret. At the time, the prosecution presented recorded phone conversations between George and his wife conspiring to keep the money hidden from the court.
George remains behind bars awaiting trial. He’s pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder charges.
