In a moving new video, Rihanna shares the story of the Clara Lionel foundation.
Named for her grandparents, the foundation was started in 2012 when she found out her grandmother was sick with cancer. In the video, viewers are given an in-depth look at the charity’s causes and efforts.
Detailed in the video are the organization’s partnerships with UNICEF and DKMS raising millions of dollars for HIV/AIDS and bone marrow to the singer’s donation of a new radiotherapy machine to the Queen Elizabeth hospital in Barbados.
“It’s as simple as this: one day, you could be the one in need,” says Rihanna. “Your kids, you kids’ kids, your loved ones, nobody is exempt from disease and poverty. You just never know. But we will fight for you the same way.”
