Nonprofit media organization URU, The Right to Be Inc., is teaming up with American Public Television to shed light on an integral sector of Black women.
The organization is producing Black Women in Medicine, an upcoming documentary that highlights the successes of Black female doctors.

“We feel incredibly honored that American Public Television has chosen to broadcast our documentary, Black Women in Medicine, and support the important work we are doing to enhance awareness and elevate the face of medicine,” producer and director Crystal Emery said in a statement.
From history-making doctors to local physicians, the documentary tells each of their stories and follows their road to success as well as the challenges they faced along the way.
