Girl Scout Kiki Paschall has a very bright future as an entrepreneur. Over the weekend, the young Californian took to social media with a remixed version of Cardi B’s “Money.” Some of the original lyrics from the song were replaced with “I got girls in my troop, cookies to the roof.” And needless to say, since recording the promo video with help from her mom, it has gone viral.Paschall, who is a part of Troop 3246 in San Fernando Valley, admitted toCBSLAthat it took about an hour to get the video perfect, but her hard work is definitely paying off. Over the course of the weekend, Paschall sold more than 1,000 boxes. She was also spotlighted by the national Girl Scouts office which reposted her jingle to their social media profiles. Its since garnered nearly 23K views on Instagram and 50K likes on Twitter.
Via Instagram, the organization that focuses on leadership development for girls captioned their post, “‘All our troop really needs is the MONEY!’ – @iamcardib remix is 🔥🔥🔥Young entrepreneurs are getting creative this Cookie Season! We’re powering amazing experiences all year long, thanks to YOUR support! 💚🍪 #BlackGirlMagic#ThisIsGirlScoutsSince gaining recognition for her musical skills, Paschall’s troop has had to re-up on their cookie order. The clever idea-generator has also thought up ways to remix Bruno Mars and Maroon 5 songs for more exposure. According to CBSLA, the goal for the Troop is to make enough money to serve meals at a local homeless shelter, visit a home for the aging, and possibly make a trip cross-country to experience the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, D.C..
