A founding member of Gladys Knight and the Pips has passed away.
According to Huffington Post, William Guest died on Thursday from congestive heart failure at the age of 74.

Guest’s daughter, Monique, said in a statement that her father will be missed.
“My heart is broken, but I know his legacy will live on,” she stated.
Guest, who is Knight’s cousin, provided background vocals on the 1967 top 10 hit, “Heard it Through the Grapevine” and 1973’s “Midnight Train to Georgia.”
Gladys Knight and the Pips were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996.
