Gladys Knight to Launch Jewelry Line at EMF

Legendary soul singer Gladys Knight — one of the headliners at this year’s ESSENCE Music Festival — will be unveiling her much anticipated jewelry collection in collaboration with LaRoda Group and Robert Rose Jewelry at the festival in New Orleans this Fourth of July weekend. The Gladys Knight Jewelry Collection is an environmentally friendly and affordable line fashioned from recycled materials like glass and handcrafted fair trade beads produced by West African artisans and cooperatives in Ghana. Knight’s collection of exuberant earrings, necklaces and bracelets possess a boho sensibility with a dash of semi-precious elements that can up the ante of any ensemble. A portion of the sales will benefit the Kumasi Women’s Cooperative in Ghana, which supplies the beads. Knight had this to say about her exciting new venture, “I am so grateful for this opportunity to continue to express my love to my fans.
