Gladys Knight and Maze featuring Frankie Beverly are bringing their powerhouse vocals together to make a difference in the community. The soul legends have been tapped to headline a benefit concert for Habitat for Humanity in Los Angeles and South Africa, The Grio reports.
Proceeds from the event will be used to provide affordable housing and shelter to low-income families.
The concert will be hosted by Faithful Central Bible Church in Los Angeles on October 19 at the Hyatt Cetury Plaza Hotel.
“We are thrilled to expand our relationship with Habitat for Humanity, building homes in two places close to my heart, here locally in Los Angeles and in South Africa,” said Kenneth C. Ulmer, senior paster of Faithful Central Bible Church. “We have a steadfast commitment here at Faithful Central to impact our community, and this tremendous partnership keenly reflects our dedication to this mission. I’m looking forward to an evening of great music. It’s truly an extraordinary event for an extraordinary cause.”
