In general, we wouldn’t advocate an all-pastel makeup look. Unless you’re an Easter egg, a face full of pale pinks and lavenders is usually not the thing. But as Kelly Rowland proved at the Billboard Awards, beauty rules were clearly made to be broken!
The chic chanteuse heated up the red carpet in soft violet eyeshadow and pale, matte pink lipstick — and she’s never looked better.
It worked because she chose sheer shades, nothing too electric or vibrant; and she broke up the color with a thin line of black eye pencil and major lashes. Well done, Kelly!
