As if Simone Biles and Gabby Douglas weren’t already killing it in the gymnastics world, we have another black girl gymnast making moves!
University of Alabama’s Aja Sims added some spice to her floor routine when her team took on Louisiana State University on Friday.
Not only did she flawlessly flip and tumble across the floor, the 21-year-old senior also milly rocked her routine to a 9.90 score. Although her team lost, that score was one of her team’s highest tallies. AL.com reports. And the crowd loved her dance moves!
She is not the first gymnast to include some hiphop to her routine.
UCLA’s Sophina DeJesus caught the internet’s attention last year when she sprinkled the Harlem Shake, the Whip, the Nae Nae, the Quan and the Dab throughout her performance.
We love these unique twists to the traditional gymnastic routines.
