Halle Berry pokes fun at herself in the latest issue of the New York Times Style Magazine. The Oscar-winning actress attempts to explain what perhaps many people have been dying to know, why does she pick the men she does?
Since the start of Berry’s career in the early ’90s, she’s been married twice— once to former baseball star David Justice and once to singer Eric Benét. She’s also been romantically linked to Michael Ealy, in addition to a few others.
“My picker’s broken,” said Berry with a laugh. “God just wanted to mix up my life. Maybe he was thinking, ‘This girl can’t get everything! I’m going to give her a broken picker.'”
According to Berry, it’s now fixed. She’s currently engaged to Olivier Martinez and the two plan to wed as soon as she figures out her living arrangement. Berry is awaiting a judge’s approval to relocate her family to Paris against her ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry’s wishes. The actress firmly believes their daughter’s quality of life will be better overseas. She tells InStyle, “It’s the appeal of privacy and a greater sense of safety for Nahla. I don’t want her to grow up around the tabloids.”
