Halle Berry’s highly anticipated TV series debut is slated for this summer.
On Wednesday, July 2nd, Berry’s drama Extant will air on CBS.
The show will follow an astronaut (Berry) who returns to Earth after a year-long mission. But there’s a catch… she’s pregnant!
Famed director Steven Spielberg will direct the summer-time series. “There’s only one Halle Berry and we’re incredibly honored that she has chosen Extant to expand her illustrious career,” said Spielberg. “As she does with everything she touches, she will bring a deep authenticity to her role and I very much look forward to working with her.”
Berry says she’s excited about shooting the film for nearly half the year. “For five months a year I’ll get to live with a play this incredibly intelligent and vulnerable woman, and for the remainder of the year I’ll continue to look for roles that move me as deeply as this one.”
