Off screen, the couple is active in their charity, Sophie’s Voice Foundation, founded in 2008 in honor of their daughter who suffers from Spina Bifida. Since then, the Kodjoes have raised money for Spina Bifida research and have established The Center for Spina Bifida Research, Prevention and Policy in Atlanta.
In addition to his charity work, Kodjoe recently finished shooting Resident Evil, which is slated for release later this year.
