When Connecticut Senator Christopher Dodd found out that a New York fundraiser he was planning was to be held at a country club that has no minority members, he immediately decided to do something about it. Dodd moved the fundraiser, which was supposed to be at the swanky Harmonie Club, to a new location, according to the Associated Press. An assistant general manager for the club was quoted as saying that while the club has no African-American members, he didn’t think it was intentional that minorities haven’t been admitted. –WLW
