Fashion month has begun, kicking off in NYFW this Friday going into early next week. If you’re familiar with the craziness of fashion week, it usually consists of running to and from shows and having a prime location to change, rest, and charge your phone, which is extremely important for the weeks to come.
In the city of New York, you are greeted with thousands of places to swift through making it a little challenging to find the perfect location, however, the swift InterContinental hotel chain has created a safe space for NYFW residents for this up-and-coming week. With two locations in the city; The InterContinental New York Times Square and the InterContinental New York Barclay, both locations provide totally different luxury experiences. However, the location for both allows NYFW attendees to be in the middle of the city guaranteeing a quick cab or train ride to event happenings.
When experiencing the InterContinental New York Barclay you are invited to experience the rich history of the hotel. Since opening in 1926, the hotel has kept the same mockup with a renovated feel. It includes the perfect lobby set up for your day-to-day fashion week flicks and has a chic restaurant titled “The Parlour,” which includes an assortment of foods, alcohol beverages that are sourced locally, and herbs that are grown from the hotel’s rooftop garden.
When experiencing the InterContinental New York Times Square, you are in the heart of the Broadway district. The space includes a modish feel and a restaurant titled, “The Stinger,” which makes reference’s to the hotel’s Bee Garden. Many dishes in the restaurant also include reminiscence of honey due to InterContinental’s dedication to sustainability and utilizing the cities food, culture, and ambiance to make your stay that much better.
