The buzz surrounding BET’s upcoming New Edition Biopic miniseries is continuing to build and now a first look at photos of the cast in character have been released.
Earlier this year it was revealed that Empire star Bryshere Gray will play Michael Bivins, Luke James will play Johnny Gill, Keith Powers will play Ronnie DeVoe, Elijah Kelly will play Ricky Bell and Woody McClain will play Bobby Brown.

Giving fans a first glimpse straight from the set of the movie, Luke James reposted a few photos of the cast in character as the iconic R&B group.

Elijah Kelly also reposted the group photo, adding the caption: “Coming Soon…. Hope y’all are ready!! #NE #NewEditionBET#BehindTheScenes #BeGreat.”
Photos of the actresses recently added to the cast have yet to surface, but given the transformations we’ve seen so far from the guys, we can’t wait to see La La, Monica Calhoun and the rest of the ladies in character!
