For years, Rihanna has been at the forefront of the fashion scene. She may not bless fans with Instagram content as often anymore—and for a while she even seemed a bit MIA in general with the exception of press events for her now-paused luxury fashion label, FENTY — but if the last few months are any indication, we’re now headed for a new era in Rihanna street style.
As versatile as the 9-time Grammy Award winner may be when it comes to her style, you might be able to spot a few common themes when dissecting her fashion statements of a given time period. Touches of masculinity seem to be a key element at present, as well as some of the industry’s most buzzy young brands. Amina Muaddi and The Attico shoes, for example, are often on repeat in the singer’s wardrobe, while she’s also made appearances in brands such as Mowalola and Dion Lee.
Of course, where there’s Rihanna, there’s an outfit that comes with a hefty price tag. Granted, some of the pop star’s pieces possess the utmost uniqueness, but many of her looks aren’t without the ability to create on a more modest budget. When you’re crafty, it doesn’t quite take a $600 million net worth or an LVMH-backed fashion label to look the part. So if you’ve ever been inspired by the entrepreneur’s eccentric style (who hasn’t?), get ready to take notes!

Get Rihanna’s Look: Beach Babe Chic
Did anyone else get the memo on the new grocery shopping attire? Apparently for the Barbados native, this means a distressed denim skirt and heels. At a closer look, this outfit is also primed to convert to beach attire at a moment’s notice with a bikini top and boxer-style shorts hidden underneath — and of course that statement Hawaiian-inspired top.

Uma Flamingo Bra by Love Stories (Rihanna’s exact)
You can snag the exact bra top from this look for $92 — Not too shabby.
Leave it to Rihanna to make a nearly $4,200 Gucci Blazer look ultra-casual. Rather than pairing the blazer with its matching flared pants, the singer opted instead for baggy jeans and Bottega Veneta mens’ loafers. We’re not saying she may be doing menswear better than the guys, but we’re not saying she’s not, either.

Lennox High Risk Blazer by Aggi
Stark red leather blazers aren’t often to come by, but when you find one that’s good, it’s really good. Just look at these shoulders.
For Rihanna, it’s an outfit for dinner at Giorgio Baldi. For us, it’s a lesson in how to do vintage fashion. The 33-year-old coupled a 1996 Chanel coat with a 2021 Maisie Wilen terry cloth set — a perfected display of old meets new. You can recreate the look with any matching blue pants set and a jacket in as close to this alluring Chanel color way you can get.

Forrest Wool Coat by LoverShackFancy
Snag this option on sale — it’s a must-have for when fall rolls back around.
We’re all too familiar (and maybe even bored with) the classic black-on-black get-up, but the Savage X Fenty founder makes the combo look anything but. Who knew a maxi cloak and strappy heels were a match-made combo? Last, all you’ll need is a waxed denim mini skirt to seal the deal.

If it’s one thing the fashion mogul has mastered, it’s the art of jazzing up the most casual of outfits. Camouflage pants and a cotton tee aren’t typically grounds for serving a look, but with contrasting oversized sunglasses and matching bright white pumps, you’re definitely onto something.
