Police are looking for a Montgomery, Ala. man, who has been charged with kidnapping in the disappearance of Aniah Blanchard.
Blanchard has been missing since Oct. 24.
According to AL.com, 30-year-old Ibraheem Yazeed has been charged with first-degree kidnapping and has a long history of arrest for violent crimes.
Authorities have revealed that evidence places Yazeed at the same place where Blanchard was last seen. It is believed that Blanchard was taken against her will, the report notes.
Yazeed, who was arrested alongside several others earlier this year on charges of attempted murder, kidnapping and first-degree robbery in an incident, that left a 77-year-old man severely beaten, should be considered armed and dangerous, according to police.
“It’s very concerning to know that someone who has committed that sort of crime was out and in our community,” Auburn Police Chief Paul Register said on Thursday. “We think this is someone who should be in custody.”
The police believe that at least one other person may be involved in Blanchard’s disappearance, and more arrests could come.
