Designer, muse and supermodel Ines de la Fressange will cool her signature stylish flats in America this week to talk about her hot new book, “Parisian Chic: A Style Guide” (Flammarion, $29.95). Written with journalist Gachet, de la Fressange, a brand ambassador for Roger Vivier and global spokesperson for L’Oreal, shares the secrets of her own inimitable style, including her Magnificent Seven Looks: a man’s blazer, a trench coat, a navy sweater, a tank top, a little black dress, jeans, and a leather jacket.
The former face of Chanel back in the day, and a recent runway sensation at 51 for Jean Paul Gaultier in 2009, Ines recently spoke exclusively to Essence.com about her favorite models. “There is something about the confidence of Naomi Campbell, Iman, Mounia, and the late, great Katoucha that is inspiring. They are warrior women, who could do anything. I loved watching them on the runway.”
If you’re in New York, you can meet Ines when she signs copies of Parisian Chic at Saks Fifth Avenue (Fifth Avenue and 50th Street) in the Roger Vivier Boutique, Tuesday, April 26 from 6:30-8 PM.
