If you love watching a sassy Mercedes rock the stage on Glee each season, now may be a time to invest in that box set. Talented actress Amber Riley recently said she may be graduating from the motley crew of high school singers this year.
“I may not be coming back for a fourth season,” Riley told E! Online. “Who knows? Whatever happens this third season is what happens, and I think everybody’s OK with it…I love my job to pieces, but when it’s time to go, it’s time to go and, hopefully, there are greater things on the horizon.”
Despite her long run on the show, Riley said Mercedes’ alleged graduation marks a bittersweet moment in her career.
“I mean, I don’t want to be a 30-year-old high school student either. Glee was just a great caterpault for us,” she said of herself and fellow departing cast members Lea Michele, Cory Monteith and Chris Colfer. “Nobody knew who we were and we will always be thankful for it. It’s just been an amazing blessing.”
But with every end, comes an exciting beginning right? In an interview with Access Hollywood, the actress recently hinted at a possible “Glee” spinoff. Would you watch? Hit the clip above to find out.
