A Black hotel employee decided to protect his peace after a woman on the phone called him a “f—n’ n—r” while he was at work.
The employee recorded the conversation and posted it on his Twitter at @craignofridayy. The woman can’t be seen in the video, but she can be heard begging him to accommodate her.
“I need to stay here. My mother died,” said the woman who called him out of his name when she showed up to the hotel for a room.
“I understand that, but you called me a f—n’ n—r,” said the employee. After listening to the women continue to plead with him for a room, he calmly said “You weren’t sorry when you said it on the phone.”
The woman desperately went on to see if he would give her a room so she could be near her family, but he rejected and told her that there was a Best Western next door
“It’s above me now,” he said repeatedly trying to convince her that she had sealed her fate.
The viral video was posted Sunday night and has gotten plenty of attention, even from stars like Wale. Meanwhile, Black Twitter rejoiced in how he handled this situation and has filled #ItsAboveMe with tons of jokes.
