Javier consistently delivered standout performances over the course of the 10-week competition. Despite this, Javier humbly said that his win came as a total surprise.
“I was expecting that Carson would call Dia’s [Frampton] name and I was just prepared to hug her and tell her that I loved her. But then he called my name and I was just not expecting it,” Javier told CNN.
For his final performance, Javier sang a duet alongside rock star Stevie Nicks. They sang her hit song “Landslide.”
Javier’s top spot has earned him a recording contract with Universal Republic Records, $100,000 and a lead spot on the inaugural “The Voice” tour.
We can’t wait to see the great things in store for Javier!
