Kanye has aired his dirty laundry once again, this time during his ‘Saint Pablo’ tour stop in Seattle. However, the target of his diatribe was a surprise to concert attendees; the man he took aim at was none other than long-time bestie Jay Z.
Looks like Hov and ‘Ye are no longer as close as we thought, and it all comes down to three things.
Here’s a breakdown of the newest beef to hit celebrity streets.
TIDAL vs. Apple
There have long been rumors of animosity between the two streaming services and, apparently, whatever beef there is was strong enough to test the bond of Jay and ‘Ye’s friendship.
“Let me tell you something, there will never be a Watch the Throne 2. You know why? Because…I wasn’t on this song [final version of “Pop Style”] because of Hov. Because of Tidal Apple bulls–t. And this s–t be getting me tight every time I perform this m—-f—-r,” Kanye told the crowd, “So y’all didn’t get what y’all was supposed to get with me and Drake on this song, because of Tidal Apple bulls–t. Every time I perform this song I think about this s–t. I think about the politics and the bulls–t. I think about how hard I go. For music. For art, for y’all, for the fans. And Hov, he don’t.”
Meek Mill
‘Ye also added that Jay backed out of Drake’s hit ”Pop Style” out of respect for Meek Mill. “I start freestylin’ to it. Jay thought of a couple lines, I said, ‘Man, just go ahead and throw that on there, [Drake] would be so surprised he probably wouldn’t expect you to be on there,'” Kanye said.
“And we sent it back to him. And he was like, ‘Oh sh-t, the Throne is on this sh-t.’ Then Jay thought about it, and out of respect for Meek Mill he didn’t want to be on the track. And I said, ‘Look, I’ll call Drake, I’ll call Meek, I’ll call y’all, we gotta squash this sh-t, we gotta let people have this song. But then it went out of that and went into some Tidal, some political sh-t, some sh-t about percentages on songs. I can’t take this sh-t, bro.”

Kim Kardashian’s Robbery
Another point of tension seems to be the fact that Jay never stopped by Kanye’s house following Kim Kardashian‘s terrifying robbery. Hov called to check in, but in ‘Ye’s book, that wasn’t good enough.
“Don’t call me, after the robbery, and say ‘how you feelin?’ You wanna know how I’m feelin? Come by the house,” ‘Ye said. He went on to add that Blue Ivy and North West have actually never even had a play date, which honestly dashes any hopes we had of North and Blue becoming Hollywood’s greatest friends; the new Thelma and Louise, Pam and Gina, Penny and Dijonay, Kim and Whitley. If they can’t mend their friendship to bring us Watch the Throne 2, then at least do it for the kids.
Still, ‘Ye does have a tendency to blow things out of proportion, so maybe he’s just overreacting. We hope whatever beef there is between the two gets squashed immediately.
This is one of music’s greatest friendships and we’d hate to see it go down in flames.
