Best New Artist Grammy nominee Jazmine Sullivan continues to charter new territory. The soulful singer is now preparing for her first major film, “Red Tails,” where she will play a jazz singer who performs for soldiers in the Tuskegee Airmen story, according to Billboard.com. Director Anthony Hemingway will shoot the film in Prague and has also tapped singer Ne-Yo to join the cast. Sullivan’s sultry sound is sure to fit right in the period piece. –CJ
