Jennifer Hudson was in her element Monday night when she and castmates from The Color Purple went out for a Karaoke Session of epic proportions.

The star took to her Instagram page to share a behind-the-scenes glimpse of how it all went down starting with everyone’s favorite artist to channel during karaoke- Beyonce.

No we were really looking crazy ! Color purple cast definitely took over the karaoke bar on this night ! N poor Dj found out just how hard it is to be Beyoncé ! Fun times! #planet rose

In true Karoake fashion, a few words were forgotten during her performance of Aretha Franklin’s ‘Never Loved a Man’.
