As the show prepares for its final season, Hudson admits she would love to return to the stage one more time.

“I hope to return!,” she told E Online. “I hope to be a part of the Idol finale, the final show. I’m kind of sad to see it go because it’s been a part of our homes. Each of us in America, you know what I mean? So it’s going to be sad to see it go but I hope to be a part of the farewell.”
Hudson was a contestant during the third season and was eliminated in seventh place.
Since her Idol exit, Hudson so gone on to launch a Grammy award-winning music career, an Academy award-winning acting career, and is currently staring as Shug Avery in the Broadway revival of The Color Purple.
We certainly hope JHud is on hand to bid the show adieu, she’s always been one to remember where she’s come from and there’s nothing wrong with saying goodbye.
