Jennifer Hudson brought in 2011 with a powerful performance on ‘Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.’ The vocal powerhouse moved the crowd with her remake of Nina Simone’s, “Feeling Good,” from her Weight Watcher’s ad-campaign.
J-Hud, who’s dropped five dress sizes since joining Weight Watcher’s last year, said she hopes her performance will inspire others to shed pounds.
“Basically (the song) is the perfect way to describe this journey and how it’s left me feeling,” Hudson told Reuters. “If I could bottle everything inside me and tell others to help motivate them, then this is it.”
The gospel inspired singer said she’ also making news goals for 2011 – she’s gearing up for a tour to promote her second album. “I definitely want it to be more personal than the first album, and just more me — whatever that is, I don’t know yet but I’m going to find out,” Hudson said.
We can’t wait for the release – best of luck Jennifer!
