If there’s anyone who can unite the country, it’s Hollywood A-listers.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, John Legend, Jamie Foxx and Pharrell are teaming up with A+E Networks, iHeartMedia and singers like Miguel, P!nk, Ed Sheeran and Sia on November 18 to produce Shining a Light: A Concert for Progress on Race in America, stemming from the Charleston shooting at Emanuel AME Church in June. Proceeds from the show will go to the Fund for Progress on Race in America Powered.

“The current racial situation in America is at a critical point,” Grammys executive producer Ken Ehrlich said in a statement. “Today’s musical artists, much like those of the civil rights movement’s history, have strong feelings about what’s going on today, and we’re hopeful that Shining a Light does, in fact, give a voice to their concerns, their hopes and their thinking about solutions to the alarming events that we see around us every day.”
Watch the two-hour event November 20 at 8 p.m. on A+E, and be sure to watch Conversations on Race in America, a special discussion, airing immediately after the concert.
