John Legend has been one of the most vocal celebrities to speak out against Trump, calling out the former reality star for his hate-filled rhetoric and horrible Muslim ban.
However, at Tuesday night’s TIME 100 Gala, Legend did manage to say one teeny-tiny nice thing about Trump’s first 100 days in office. When asked what he considered the “least bad thing” about Trump’s time in office, the singer had this to say, according to Entertainment Weekly:
“We haven’t gotten into a nuclear war yet.”
It feels like every five minutes, the Mar-a-Lago-loving leader of our country is inching us toward World War III, and Legend didn’t hold back as he went on to list Trump’s poorer qualities.

“I think he’s a terrible president, “he said. “Manifestly unqualified, not curious, not good at legislating or anything that his job requires, doesn’t have any depth about any subject. He’s also using the office of the presidency as a way to make money for himself with his businesses so he’s corrupt. I can’t say anything nice about the guy, I think he’s one of the worst people I’ve ever encountered in public life.”
So, yes, most of us know that Trump’s qualifications are scant and his platform is built on hate, but at least we haven’t been nuked. Yet.
