Usher and ex-wife Tameka Raymond’s bitter custody has come to an end after an Atlanta judge granted the singer primary custody of their two sons, 4-year-old Usher Raymond V and 3-year-old Naviyd Ely Raymond. The exes will still have joint custody, but Usher (pictured leaving court) will have the primary caregiving role.
According to the Associated Press, Tameka will have visitation rights, the parameters of which have not been determined as of yet. The judge’s decision comes at a particularly tough time for Tameka, who recently lost her 11-year-old son Kile Glover in a jet-ski accident last month. Hours after the decision the fashion stylist, who was fighting to keep joint custody, tweeted: “Money can buy many things… But in the end. Truth & goodness will prevail. I must continue to believe this. Stand firm.”
Tameka and Usher divorced in 2009 after less than two years of marriage.
