Kanye West will not be attending the Grammy Awards if Frank Ocean doesn’t receive any nominations for his new release Blonde and visual album, Endless.
The rapper announced plans to boycott the televised award ceremony in artist solidarity if Frank Ocean isn’t announced as a contender come December 8th, when the Grammy nominees are revealed.
“I’ll tell you this right now,” West says in his rant, which begins at about 1:33 in the video below. “If his album is not nominated in no categories, I’m not showing up to the Grammys,” he vowed to the audience at his Saint Pablo concert in Oakland, California, on Saturday. “As artists, we’ve got to come together to fight the bullshit.”

According to Billboard, a source confirmed that neither album was submitted for consideration by Ocean’s management, label or other representatives, despite both being released before the September 30, 2016 deadline for submissions.
