He breezed past reporters without answering any questions before hopping into an elevator. Donald Trump’s transition team confirmed to The Daily Beast that ‘Ye was indeed there to meet with him. Jason Miller, communications director for Trump’s team, said, “[Kanye] has had positive things to say about the President-elect.” Adding that Trump is interested in “putting together coalitions” and wants to “reach out to people both from traditional and nontraditional political viewpoints.” Following their meeting, Trump and ‘Ye posed for photos. When asked what they’d discussed, Trump said, “Just friends, just friends.
