If the last few days have not been an indication that there was something going on with Kanye West, his hospitalization on Monday is a big clue.
News sources are reporting that Los Angeles police responded to a medical welfare call early Monday afternoon. According to TMZ, the rapper was taken to UCLA Medical Center and after being evaluated for severe sleep deprivation it was determined he “needed to be admitted” for psychiatric evaluation. The site also reports that West did not want to be taken to the hospital and “was placed in handcuffs when he was transported.”

He has apparently been working around the clock, both with his tour and his fashion line.
Monday’s incident comes a day after West cancelled his tour. Last week was rough for Kanye. He was booed and mocked for stating he would vote for Donald Trump, if he had voted. On Saturday, he ended his Sacramento show prematurely after three songs and a long rant that came for Beyonce and Jay-Z among others. And on Sunday, he cancelled his Inglewood show just three hours before showtime.
All were fodder for the #KanyeIsOverParty hashtag that has been making its rounds.
