By now, you’ve probably seen the infamous footage of Katt Williams punching a teenager in the face before being subdued by a choke hold. Well, we’ve heard the teen’s side, now we get to hear from Katt.
The Teen Who Allegedly Punched Katt Williams Speaks Out
The comedian shared his side of the story while at the Barclay’s Center on Friday, revealing that he was riding around minding his own business, but stopped in the neighborhood because he was allegedly being followed by cops. Williams joined the soccer game in order to stay out of trouble, but things didn’t exactly go as planned.
“If you watch the tape the game never officially ends, I end it. He said some slick s–t, so I say ‘hey, you know ya’ll can’t win this game, so why would you say ‘fuck me’? And he says, ‘well, what you gone do about it?’ And I say, ‘listen you know I’m in trouble with the law, you see all these people recording. But just understand if I can take your ass around this corner I can explain to you that you don’t talk to grown n—gas like that.’ “

Katt explains that he wasn’t quite sure how old the kid was because he appeared to be and acted a lot older than 17. And, at the start of the soccer game he was totally okay with the teen talking smack because it was a game and sometimes that happens.
Katt continues by adding that the video of him being put in a choke hold is pretty misleading and implies that he gave the teenager a number of opportunities to walk away before he punched him the face.

Either way, it’s a situation that could have been avoided and thankfully no one was severely injured.
