We love Lauryn Hill – or do we mean “Ms. Hill?” The soulful singer’s management team recently warned staffers in Utah to formally address our once-loved L-Boogie as “Ms.Hill,” not Lauryn Hill, during her Sundance Film Festival performance last Wednesday, the New York Post reports.
The staff at 50 Harry O’s, the company that hosted Ms. Hill’s performance, were given very strict rules on how to address the singer. “Everyone sort of rolled their eyes and chuckled but promised to oblige,” a source told NY Post.
Despite her requests, Hill played for two hours with an 11-piece band and apparently rocked the crowd. “She put on the best show I’ve seen in six years,” said Harry O’s Konstantine Deslis.
