Former Fugees front woman Lauryn Hill is apparently getting fit for the new year. The mother of five took an impromptu horse riding lesson at the Essex Equestrian Center in West Orange, New Jersey, according to the New York Post. Hill, who was once considered R&B/hip-hop royalty, “just wandered in right off the street and wandered back out the same way she came in,” according to the newspaper. A native of New Jersey, Hill has remained relatively quiet since her 1990’s explosion on the music scene but seems to be an equestrian natural. Reveals the tipster for the Post, “She did okay for her first time.”—B.B.
