John Lee Cowell, 27, was taken into custody on Monday (July 23) a dozen miles away from the incident. Jay Ellis will not return as Lawrence for season 3 of Insecure. During the HBO Insecure Fest in Los Angeles, creator and star of the hit series, Issa Rae, explained why his character would be absent for the forthcoming season. “They had a great conversation at the end of season two and it was just about like, hey, she’s moving on to Daniel,” she said. “You never see the exes again, and it’s okay! A Florida man who fatally shot a Black man over a parking spot may avoid charges due to “stand your ground” law. Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri said 47-year-old Michael Drejka approached Markeis McGlockton’s girlfriend, Brittany Jacobs, after she parked in a handicap spot, which led to McGlockton shoving Drejka. In response, Drejka pulled out a handgun and shot McGlockton in the chest. (CNN)
