Like many Americans, Lebron James shares the same concerns about his children encountering law enforcement in the wake of multiple police violence incidents.
During a press conference, the NBA star told reporters:
“It’s a scary thought right now to think if my son gets pulled over,” said James, “and you tell your kids if you just comply and you just listen to police that they will be respectful and things will work itself out.”
“You see these videos that continue to come out,” James said. “It’s a scary ass situation that if my son calls me and says he’s been pulled over, that I’m not that confident that things are going to go well and my son is going to return home.”

He went on to share that he has talked to his children about the current injustices happening across America and has reminded them that not all police officials are bad.
James also shared that though he would continue to stand during the national anthem, the basketball player respects Colin Kaepernick for voicing his opinion.
