LisaRaye McCoy’s film, Skinned, will make its debut on television next year.
The feature film, eurweb announced, will premiere on TV One as it discusses the notion of colorism in the Black community through the eyes of main charater, Jolie.

Jolie is a young woman who is uncomfortable with her complexion and begins to experiment with bleaching and lightening creams to alter her skin tone. McCoy plays her mother and directs the production alongside Avery O. Williams.
Skinned was nominated in November as one of the best independent films at Atlanta’s Bronze Lens Film Festival.
An offiical airdate has not been announced but is expected to hit screens in early 2016.
