Lolo Jones is at the center of a media firestorm that erupted when she tweeted a harsh remark this week about Rachel Jeantel, a key witness in the George Zimmerman trial.
EurWeb reports that Jones tweeted, “Rachel Jeantel looked so irritated during the cross-examination that I burned it on DVD and I’m going to sell it as Madea goes to court.”
Ouch.
The tweet has since been deleted from Jones’s Twitter account, but not before screen grabs of the comment began circulating on the Internet.
Several of Jones’s followers snapped back at the Olympian in outrage about the tweet. Jones has yet to publicly respond or apologize for the incident.
