Today, Whitney Houston was immortalized in four life-like wax figures by famed museum Madame Tussauds.
According to Singersroom.com, the figures were created in London and will be distributed to four select cities around the nation.
Las Vegas, America’s party city, will receive the “I Wanna Dance with Somebody” version. Washington, D.C. will receive the figure in her Super Bowl National Anthem sweat suit. And, Los Angeles, the home of Hollywood, will receive the The Bodyguard version. New York City is said to receive the most recent version of Whitney in a stunning gold dress.
The process of creating these figures is no easy task. In fact, it took four months to complete them and cost $1.2 million to produce the set.
Pat, Gary and Cissy Houston were on hand today for the unveiling in New York City. “We were extremely honored when Madame Tussauds approached us about doing, not one, but four figures of Whitney for different points in her 30-year career. This is something we are excited to do for the fans.”
