Five familiar faces in entertainment and journalism are due to hit daytime television this summer in a new talk show similar to The View, reports Variety.com.
Exhale, the upcoming show addressing topics from an African-American female perspective, is scheduled to air on Magic Johnson’s new Aspire network. The program’s co-hosts include actress Malinda Williams, comedian Erin Jackson, TV anchor Rene Syler, Awkward Black Girl star Issa Rae and former ESSENCE editor-in-chief Angela Burt-Murray.
“We are thrilled to add Exhale to our lineup of original programming,” said Aspire’s General Manager Paul Butler. “This fresh, hip and candid new series will enlighten audiences with its broad range of topics relevant to the community.”
Exhale, Aspire’s third original series, will make its small screen debut this June.
